CommonFixes is written by people who repair computers, not by a call centre. If a step in a guide did not work on your machine, we would rather hear about it than leave it wrong.

Email

Write to hello@commonfixes.com. We read every message and normally reply within a few working days.

Corrections

Tell us the page, the step number, and what happened on your computer, including the exact wording of any error message. That is usually enough for us to test the step again and update the guide.

Suggest a problem to cover

Describe the trouble in your own words. Plain descriptions such as the fan roars during video calls are more useful to us than technical terms, because that is how most readers search.

How our guides are written

Every guide starts with a real problem people report. We follow the steps on a working machine or against the maker's own support documentation before publishing, we say when a repair carries risk, and we tell you when to stop and see a technician instead of spending money on parts you may not need. We do not publish sponsored fixes, and we never charge for the advice on this site.
